Crossroads Point to Ponder:

Evil is the antithesis of holiness and therefore the antithesis of Godliness. So the child of God hates evil.
(Prov. 8:13)
If you truly love God you will fervently hate every form of evil. Because he loved God so much, David resolved that "A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil." (Ps. 101:4) The faithful Christian should never compromise with evil.

Welcome to Crossroads Baptist Church where we believe that it’s possible to change the methods of reaching people for Christ without changing the message.  God’s word will never change, but how we present it is optional.  At Crossroads, we don’t want to just think outside the box in ministry, we want to blow the box away!

We’re a new church for a new generation. Although Southern Baptist doctrinally, we invite you to experience the freedom of youthful, dynamic praise and worship blended with traditional elements of our faith.  We prayerfully seek God’s will and His plans for our lives wholeheartedly, and all ages, races, and income and educational levels are welcome and encouraged to come fellowship with us. If you are looking for a church home, meet us at the Crossroads!

Adults/Seniors

Life has a tendency to throw a lot of curves our way. By the time we reach our later years, we have experienced triumphs and tragedies, ups and downs, successes and failures.  Sometimes we were blessed with the knowledge that God was there through all of them.  Sometimes, we felt (and continue to feel) like we were alone and had no one to share these things with.

Our Adult/Senior classes are designed to minister to those in the 35+ age range, breaking that down further into to two other age ranges…30-49 and 50+. These classes take the word of God and apply it to their daily lives for the betterment of their families, relationships and jobs.  They offer fellowship opportunities with people of the same age who may be experiencing the same things in their lives.

College & Career

For the 18-29 year old, life has a distinctly different ebb and flow. “What colleges are right for me, and how do I maintain my honor, integrity and virtue against some of the things that I’ll encounter when I get there?” or “I’m unsatisfied with my career choice.  I’d like to work in something that’s more rewarding and fulfilling for me and others around me. What should I do?” or “Is she or he the right one for me?  Are we doing things right in the eyes of God? How do we devote our lives to each other in a way that’s in accordance with God’s will?” These questions and more are the focus of our College and Career ministry.  Geared toward early adulthood, we endeavor to enrich this age group with God’s word and His advice on how they can make the best possible life for themselves and their families.

Young Adult

Dynamic!  Outgoing! Exciting!  Innovative! Supporting! Fun! These are the adjectives that describe our Fellowship of the Lord! Designed for the middle and high school age (13-18 year olds) youth, the Fellowship uses their exuberance to reach others of their age and set an example to their peers of how much good, clean and wholesome fun you can have while worshipping the Lord. In addition to outings, trips, events, dramas, music and other fellowship, they study the word of God and how to better apply His will in their lives. They strive to start off on the path to adulthood on the right foot… with God by their side!

Children’s Church

Children are special in God’s eyes, and at Crossroads we strive to follow God’s word and take special care of them.  Children’s Church is a fun and educational class for elementary age kids (6-12 years).  The class combines games, arts and crafts, videos and dynamic teaching into lessons about the Lord with a focus on the major stories of the bible from Noah’s Arc to David and Goliath.  Parents are sure to go home Sunday afternoon with more refrigerator door material than they can handle!

Nursery

At Crossroads, we understand that it can be difficult to fully absorb God’s teachings when you have an infant or two that needs to be cared for.  If you fit into this category, have no fear…our nursery is for you. You can drop your children off to our caring, loving staff in our clean, safe environment and not worry about missing anything in our exciting and educational sermons or Sunday school lessons.

What Radio stations do you enjoy listening to? For those of you who enjoy Contemporary Christian Music, you might want to try the Free 89.3 FM. This new station has the most popular Contemporary Christian artist of our day such as Jars of Clay, Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith, and Rebecca St. James.

For those who would rather listen to some great doctrinally sound preaching and teaching, we recommend 98.5 FM, 101.1 FM, 88.3 FM, and 91.5 FM. These stations carry daily messages from men of God like James Dobson, John MacArthur, Charles Stanley, David Jeremiah, Chuck Swindoll, and Adrian Rodgers. Enjoy Brother David on Sunday Sonrise from 9am till noon on WOKA 106.7 FM.

Watch our services on the local Douglas Cable TV City channel 3 at 6:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. on Sundays and on Thursday Nights at 8:00 P.M. on DITV Channel 71. DITV also usually plays our services at 8:00 P.M., 12:00 P.M., and 4:00 A.M. each weekend.

Sunday afternoons and nights at Crossroads presents a variety of Fellowship, Bible Studies, small group meetings, and teaching seminars. And sometimes we just get together to eat and have fun talking, laughing, and sharing together. Crossroads brings a brand new style of ministry to our area designed to glorify God through worship, fellowship, ministry, discipleship, and evangelism.
